933FLZ Remembers Kane

Kane began his radio career as an intern at iHeartMedia CHR “KC101” WKCI-FM New Haven, while still in high school. He worked at WDAQ and WWHT in Danbury, CT early in his career, before joining 933FLZ Tampa in 1997 as evening host. “The Extreme Show,” which he hosted, was syndicated to several markets.

After a stint at XM Satellite Radio, he returned to WFLZ in 2004 as PD/afternoon host before moving to “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington, DC in October 2006 to launch “The Kane Show” in mornings, while continuing to host afternoons at WFLZ. “The Kane Show” was syndicated by Premiere Networks and was eventually heard in DC, Baltimore, Tampa, Harrisburg, Louisville and Memphis, among other markets. He also hosted the syndicated weekend program “Club Kane.”

Peter “Kane” Deibler, who previously hosted the nationally-syndicated “The Kane Show,” died on March 6 after a long illness. He was 43.
